Biography

It was in Kansas City, Missouri on the 17th of October, 1972 when Eminem was born as Marshall Bruce Mathers III. During his childhood the future star lived in Metro Detroit and Kansas City. Often times his family moved from Kansas to Detroit and vice versa. In the ninth grade of high school he dropped out and he took up rapping and joined New Jacks, Basement Productions and D12 which were all ad hoc groups. The young hip hop artist made sure that his recorded demos were distributed to everybody that had something to do with producing.

On Dec. 25, 1995 Kimberly, Eminem’s girlfriend, gave birth to Hailie Jade who is their daughter. Gilbert’s Lodge was the name of the restaurant Eminem was employed during that period of time. ‘Infinite’ was the very first album released by him which happened to be a major failure.

Career

During the time of his early career, he sent his debut album’s copy to Rap Coalition founder – Wendy Day, personally. That move gave Eminem the opportunity to participate in the 1997 Rap Olympics which were held in Los Angelis, California. The Wake Up Show’s Freestyle Performer Of The Year award was won by him during the early part of the year.

Eminem’s music was heard by Interscope Records Chairman, Jimmy Iovine, due to the efforts put in by Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager. In turn, lovine got the record of Eminem played to Dr.Dre who happens to be a former NWA member and a super-producer. In Eminem’s career this can be termed as the most important moment ever. In 1999, the Slim Shady LP for Aftermath Records was the next album produced by Eminem and “My Name Is” was his first single hit.

In the year 2002 Eminem released his second single “ Cleanin’ out my closet” . The song is from the album “The Eminem Show” which became the best selling album in the USA for that year.

Eminem is loved by the Grammys which is indicated by the five “Grammy” awards he has got so far namely, The Slim Shady LP (Best Rap Album), – (Best Rap Solo Performance) “The Real Slim Shady, (Best Rap Album) The Marshall Mathers LP, far ” (Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group) “Forgot About Dre” and Best Rap Solo Performance) “My Name Is”.
