Career
After the success of his three mix tapes, Drake became a sensation. His first hit album proved he had the talent as well. His songs are soul touching talking about the changes he went through his life. His album ‘Thank me Later’ won him the Rap Recording of the Year award in 2010.
He has also performed with other Canadian musicians under Young Artists for Haiti and has featured in a new version of K’naan’s ‘Waving flag’. He also hosted the annual OVO or October’s Very Own Festival. His second album named ‘Take Care’ is scheduled to be released around September 2011
The talented Drake also writes lyrics for singers like Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys. He also remixes tracks for other artists. He has featured in Degrassi: The Next Generation as Jimmy Brooks. His character also features in the television movie Degrassi spring Break Movie and Degrassi Takes Manhattan.
A fan of Kentucky Wildcats, Drake also made an appearance at Big Blue Madness, as event for University of Kentucky men’s basketball.
