Mike the Situation turned out to be one of the most well-known characters from Jersey Shore. The audience saw Michael yet again when he featured on “Dancing with the Stars”- an ABC reality series, where he competed for 4 weeks before finally being eliminated. The Reality Star dancing partner was none other than Karina Smirnoff.
Mike the situation also featured in the year 2010 in a community service broadcast for The Candie’s Foundation along with Bristol Palin. The campaign was “Pause before You Play” and it aimed at preventing teen pregnancies.
The year 2011 (January) saw Mike signing up with YOBI.tv for a web series titled the “Random Talent” co-starring Ben Green, a British comedian.
Based on a news source, it is believed that the situation earned above $5 million (2010), which is the 2nd highest earning of a reality superstar after the popular Kim Kardashian. The huge amount was accumulated by endorsements like Reebok Zigtech shoes, Devotion Vodka, a rap track, vitamin line done for GNC, a ghost-written memoir, workout DVDs, clothing line & shows like Dancing with the Stars & Jersey Shore. Unfortunately, the book didn’t do as well as expected & sold barely 12,000 prints (January 2011).
In the popular TV series – Jersey Shore, Mike the situation developed desirability for a fellow cast mate Giancola, but sadly luck did not favor Michael. Giancola became attracted towards another fellow cast mate of theirs named Ortiz-Magro and so Mike & Giancola’s affair did not come to fruition. Giancola AKA Sweetheart hails from Hazlet, in New Jersey. She’s attended the William Paterson University & has been the midfielder on a women’s soccer team! It was much later during season 3 on Jersey Shore that Giancola eventually ends up in a relationship with Ortiz-Magro. Nonetheless, the situation remained on the series Jersey Shore right from beginning till the very end, so you can see him from season 1 up till season 5!
The Jersey Shore cast appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 on the 12th of September in 2010.
