Career

After trying with DAS and Kemosabe Entertainment, Kesha finally signed a deal with RCA Records. She worked on her debut album with all zeal and came up with 14 tracks. In fact “Tik Tok” was such a hit that it set the weekly record for a female artist for the most digital downloads. Her album “Animal” was released in January 2010. She received many nominations and awards for her debut album. Kesha has mentioned that Beck, Queen, Madonna, Johnny Cash, Aaron Neville, Bob Dylan, and Beastie Boys have all influenced her music. She has written every song in her album and says the texts are based on life’s experiences. She has took part of the “Get Sleezy Tour” in 2011.
